Kotis expands global fulfillment to the UK, India, and China

Jeff Becker | February 24, 2026

TL;DR – We’ve launched global fulfilment in the UK, India, and China, with more facilities coming online soon. This avoids customs challenges in those countries, but comes with its own unique quirks that should be considered for your program.

Kotis now operates facilities in the UK, India, and China, with more territories coming online soon.

We looked at where our clients have the highest concentration of international recipients and expanded into those markets first. These are end-to-end, in-country operations with production, warehousing, and fulfillment all within the same borders. That’s the only way this actually works.

What we thought about global fulfillment in the past

In 2022, I wrote a blog called “When do global fulfillment centers make sense?” I meant every word of it. The argument was simple: geographic distance isn’t the real cost driver in international shipping. Customs is. The only way to truly avoid duties, taxes, and delays at the border is if the end user lives in the same country where the product was produced, stored, and shipped. That was true then, and it’s still true today.

What changed in international shipping?

The global tariff and customs landscape has become significantly more volatile since 2022. What used to be a manageable cost has become a genuine wildcard for companies with international teams.

Our original argument is actually what led us here. We said the only way to avoid the cost of customs is to keep everything in the same country as the recipient.

Global companies can now be connected under one Kotis swag platform

We kept hearing the same thing: “We love what you do for our US team. But our London office is on their own.”

Companies with global offices have been living a split reality. US teams get the full Kotis experience. International offices piece it together with local vendors, dealing with different systems, budgets, tracking, and quality. This expansion changes that. One platform for any office around the world. No more flip-flopping between disconnected systems to serve the same goal.

This is currently built for companies whose primary point of contact is in the US. We’re actively working to take on UK and India-based companies directly to reduce response times in those time zones. More on that soon.

Customs can’t be avoided if an order passes a border

Shipping from a neighboring country does not avoid customs. If the product crosses a border, we’re dealing with duties, taxes, and delays. Period. If your orders pass through customs, the cost of shipping internationally from the US is still negligible in the end.

The quirks you should know before you start

Product availability varies by country. Most categories have strong local equivalents, but if your program requires exact product uniformity on specific retail brands, producing in the US and shipping globally is still the right call.
