USE CASES

Best for...

Print on demand isn't right for everything — but when it fits, it fits perfectly.

Program fit

How it fits with your swag program

Print on demand is only one small piece of a successful swag program. Use PoD to launch and refine ideas with low volume. When strategizing bigger, more impactful projects, bulk ordering, robust inventory management, and a full range of decoration come into play. 90% of your swag should be produced through bulk decoration to get the most mileage out of our platform.

Your dedicated swag expert is here to advise and help decide which option is right for every project.

FAQ

Do I have to sign up for the swag platform to set up a PoD store?

Yes! Print on demand is a small part of a larger swag strategy. To manage everything in program, you’ll need the platform to manage it all.

PoD (print on demand) creates the swag only when an order is placed. It's great for launching stores quickly without any upfront costs. However, you do not benefit from the economics of scale with bulk decoration, leading to higher costs per order. Since bulk decoration produces swag in advance, there are more decoration and product options that result in generally higher quality swag at a better price. Our founder actually wrote a great blog post about the differences. Check it out!

DTG (Direct to Garment) printing, embroidery, and some printing on hard goods (think water bottles) are currently the only options for print on demand. If you want more capabilities, we recommend ordering small runs of bulk ordered items or even our fully custom options.

There are tons of shirts, hoodies, bags, bottles, and so much more! However, you will not have access to the hundreds of thousands of options available through bulk decoration. The limited options ensure we can fulfill on demand orders as quickly and consistently as possible.

Since products aren’t already made and warehoused, it could take upwards of 10-14 days for delivery after ordering. If your program relies on fast fulfillment, a warehoused store may be a better fit.

Up to 20 products per store to start. If you need more, discuss what you have in mind with your dedicated creative project manager.

Not at this time. Print on demand and warehoused inventory run as separate stores within the platform.

As of June 2026, our PoD service does not connect with our reporting system in our main platform. Your dedicated swag team will be able to quickly pull reports upon request. We intend to connect these reports into our main swag platform in the coming months.
